Our Story

NEM Hawks Women

NEM Hawks was formed in 2010 by Donna Hankinson and Sue Whitehead. The club is at the heart of the community and although, like any club it aspires to win, most of all they just want boys and girls, men and women to play handball at whatever level they aspire to – recreational, club, county or national.

The club has players aged 11-25 years years old. Hawks has boys and girls teams who play at under-16 and under-18 level. They have been particularly successful at under-18 level with the girls team crowned champions six times in a row, and the boy's team winning the competition three times. Hawks also has senior teams in the Development League, Women’s Super-8 and Men's Super-8. They train at Siddal Moor Sports College and the new Oldham Leisure Centre.
