Dear Trafford Handball Members,
I hope you are all well. I’m reaching out today to share an important update about the club and to ask for your support as we continue to grow and strengthen our community. As we navigate a difficult transition period in our management structure, the club is going through a challenging period behind the scenes. At the moment, the organisational responsibilities are being carried mainly by myself and Jana, with Andrea and Bill leading our coaching structure. We are fortunate to have dedicated support from Paul Adamson, Rafal Rybak, Ricardo Pais, George Raileanu, Kazumie Nigparanon and Matt Wood, who all assist with coaching where they can. Before moving on, I also want to highlight something very important about our journey. The capacity we now have, where we are close to providing a full pathway from primary school all the way to senior level participation, is incredibly rare. There are very few clubs across England that can realistically commit to this, it is difficult for a reason. We say this is not to boast but instead to recognise the hard work that has been achieved over a very short period of time. We have built all of this with very few people in the background, through difficult moments and through good. Going forward, we want to share the responsibility of pushing the sport forward and growing the community. More importantly, we want to share the power and ability to grow what we have. The more people who feel a sense of ownership and pride in Trafford Handball Club, the stronger we become.
To continue moving forward and to keep delivering the opportunities, experiences and positive environment that make Trafford Handball Club special, we need more people to join us in shaping the future of the club.
We currently offer a strong pathway from U14s to Senior level, and with plans to re-engage primary school participation for Years 5 and 6, we are building an extensive access route for people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in sport and in our immediate community.
Last season brought some outstanding achievements, showing the incredible progress and promise within the club:
We want our success on and off the court! Currently we are looking for members of our community who can offer support in any of the following areas:
If you’re passionate about the club, care about the community we’re building, and want to contribute in any way big or small. We would love to have you involved! Every bit of support strengthens our nucleus and helps us create more opportunities for young people, expand our reach, and secure a brighter future for handball in Trafford and beyond. To have a great community that resonates with the masses, we must be able to contribute to something that can truly be greater for us now and the future. There is so much good to be created here. So much promise and potential, to be trailblazers for great community cohesion and representation to what engagement through sport can look like. We love the handball, we are here for the handball but we are also here for you the greater community. I will attach a short form for you to indicate where you might be able to help. Even if you’re unsure how you could contribute, please complete it. There is a place to let us know, we can explore possibilities together. https://forms.office.com/e/MHt...
